I’ve been thinking about that lately. Some words pass through us like a summer rain… Others settle so deeply that we carry them for years. A single sentence can become the voice that reminds us who we are. Or the one we’re still trying to forget.
What I’ve come to realize is this. Two people can stand beneath the very same sky, yet not every word belongs to them.
Some words are meant to be received. Others were never ours to carry.
A simple “I believe in you.” “I’m proud of you.” “You matter.” These words have a way of taking root and quietly changing the way we see ourselves. The opposite can be true as well.
That’s why I believe we have a choice. To let words that bring life settle gently into our hearts and allow the rest to fall away like rain returning to the earth. Because not every voice deserves a home within you.
This week…
Notice the words you speak to yourself. If they aren’t words you’d offer someone you love, perhaps they were never meant to become your truth.
Wherever you are today, may you find the courage to take one more step. I’ll meet you on the path.
With love,
Clarissa
