Not because they know your name…
But because they know your heart needs to rest.
One afternoon, I came upon this tiny red chair nestled beneath the shelter of a magnificent pine tree. It stirred something childlike within me.
I found myself wondering…
How many dreams had been imagined here?
How many squirrels had become trusted friends?
How many fairies had danced among these branches while a child sat quietly, believing anything was possible?
Then another thought gently found its way to me…
Perhaps this little chair wasn’t waiting for a child at all.
Perhaps it was waiting for anyone who had forgotten how to wonder.
Nature has never stopped welcoming us.
She still offers us places to rest.
Places to imagine.
Places to breathe.
Places where, for just a little while, we can set down the weight we’ve been carrying…
…and simply listen.
Sometimes healing doesn’t ask us to go anywhere at all.
Sometimes it simply invites us to sit…
…and remember that we have always belonged here.
This week…
If you find yourself rushing from one thing to the next, pause for just a moment. Sit beneath a tree, watch the clouds drift by, or simply breathe. Wonder has a quiet way of finding us when we make room for it.
Wherever you are today, may you find the courage to take one more step. I’ll meet you on the path.
With love,
Clarissa
