I found this little garden tucked between some shops while exploring in a new town and something about it made me stop.
Maybe it was the unexpectedness of finding this welcoming place to sit and rest in the middle of everything.
Or maybe it was the message waiting there:
“Be Brave Enough to Dream.”
I love those words.
We often talk about having the courage to do something—to make the change, take the chance, begin again, walk through the door.
But what about the courage it takes simply to dream?
To imagine a life beyond what you already know.
To admit that there is something you still want to experience, create, become, or bring into this world.
Sometimes we become so practical with our lives that our dreams slowly get edited down to what feels reasonable.
We consider the timing.
The money.
Our age.
Our responsibilities.
What other people might think.
All the reasons something may not work.
And somewhere along the way, we can stop asking ourselves one very important question:
What would I dream about if I wasn’t trying to figure out how it could happen yet?
Maybe dreaming deserves its own sacred space.
A place where possibility gets to exist before the plans, the logistics and the how arrive.
Sitting in this little garden reminded me that perhaps we need these unexpected pauses in life.
A bench.
A garden.
A few quiet minutes between where we’ve been and where we’re going.
Enough time for the noise to settle and for a forgotten dream to whisper,
Remember me?
So wherever you are today, give yourself permission to dream a little bigger than what feels practical.
Even if you don’t know how to get there yet.
Just be brave enough to imagine that there may still be beautiful things waiting for you that you haven’t even thought possible.
🌿
What is one dream you would allow yourself to dream again?
With love,
Clarissa
